Leading the way in Skin Rejuvenation. Micro Needling the safest and most efficacious method of scar revision offering many other skin improvements with minimal down time.

It is a safe, chemical-free, minimally invasive treatment that rejuvenates the skin (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, or Dermapen treatment).

A device with fine needles creates superficial punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to release growth factors that create new collagen and elastin. Recovery is rapid with no residual pain or discomfort.

What are the benefits of Micro Needling?

  • Stimulates collagen production, which promotes skin rejuvenation

  • Improves surgical, traumatic, burn and acne scars

  • Reduces the appearance of stretch marks

  • Prevents signs of ageing

  • Allows up to 80% more product into the skin (7-10% with normal topical application)

  • Can be carried out on any part of the body

  • Suited to all skin types and most skin conditions

  • Minimal side effects and down time

How many treatments will I need?
A course of at least three is recommended for best results. However, the speed at which you will get visible results depends on what you are treating. While some results may be almost immediate, your true results won’t be visible until 3-4 weeks after the procedure.

Is it painful?
Micro Needling gives a tingling and prickly sensation. It's not a painful treatment and usually doesn't require any numbing cream depending on the clients own sensation threshold. The treated area will be red for around two hours after treatment and it may create a sensation similar to mild sunburn -  this reaction is completely normal and what we want to achieve in order to get results!

What happens during a Micro Needling treatment?

The skin is cleansed, toned and gently exfoliated. A topical numbing cream is sometimes applied to the areas being treated. The Dermafix pen will be stamped or will glide over the skin, whilst fine needles puncture the skin to create channels or to micro-wound the skin. This stimulates cell regeneration. Growth factors, vitamins and collagen boosting solutions are delivered into the skin for enhanced rejuvenation. A soothing collagen mask is then applied to cool down the skin and aid the healing process. A soothing recovery balm and SPF will be applied at the end of the treatment.

What shall I expect after a Micro Needling treatment?

You will have redness, which can be covered up with makeup the day after treatment. Slight redness can remain up to three days and longer in rare cases. During treatment and just after, you may experience pinpoint bleeding; this is a normal response with this procedure. The skin can feel dry, tight or may flake as a normal result of this procedure. This should resolve within a few days. This is a normal response after the Micro Needling treatment. You may moisturise more frequently if needed. Healing times may vary from client to client. Rejuvenation of the skin may be seen as soon as a week after, your best result will usually be experienced around 3-4 weeks after the procedure. Depending on life style and the number of treatments, your results can continue for up to 2 years.
