TCA peel for face and body

 

 

The BioRePeel treatment is an innovative form of medical peel that utilises a patented 2-phase technology to provide the skin with a bio-stimulating and revitalising effect. As one of the newest skin peels that are available on the market, it’s gaining a rapid increase in popularity thanks to the way in which it actively and effectively prevents the visible signs of ageing on the skin.

 

The exfoliating action removes debris and dirt from the outer layers of the skin to give a clean and youthful appearance, whilst preventing the signs of ageing, decreasing the amount of damage the skin receives from UV light as well as aiding in the appearance of skin pigmentation and acne scarring. The treatment even stimulates the turnover of cells by producing collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid which are all responsible for providing a youthful appearance and is very effective for treating and preventing acne breakouts.

There are two forms of BioRePeel that are currently used, which are BioRePeel FND and BioRePeel Body. The BioRePeel FND serum (for the face, neck and décolleté) contains 35% TCA and is suitable to be used on the face and more intimate areas, whereas the BioRePeel Body serum contains 50% TCA and is suitable to be used on other areas of the body such as the feet, abdomen and buttocks.

The main ingredients associated with the BioRepeel treatment are;

  • Lactobionic acid

  • Citric acid

  • Salicylic acid

  • Tartaric acid

  • TCA 35%

​

There are also a number of other minor ingredients involved within the treatment which include Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Arginine and Gamma-aminobutyric acid which help the peel to be more tolerable to the skin.

How many treatments will I need?
A course of at least 4-6 treatments is recommended for best results. These are carried out once every 7-10 days during the course of treatments. BioRePeel can also be carried out monthly as a maintance treatment.

Pre-treatment Advice

Discontinue all use of Retin-A, retinoids, or similar vitamin A compounds, harsh scrubs or exfoliating products and bleaching creams for at least three weeks including all topical prescription acne medication.

You cannot have this treatment if you have been on Roaccutane for acne in the last 6 months.

Avoid tanning or prolonged sun exposure two weeks before treatment. ​

Discontinue all use of antibiotics two weeks prior to your treatment.

Avoid Dermal Fillers and Botox for at least two weeks prior to treatment.

Avoid microdermabrasion or other chemical peeling services two weeks prior to your treatment. 

Avoid waxing one week prior to and post treatment. Do not wax the skin during your course of peels.​

Post treatment advice

Full aftercare and advice will be provided at your appointment

​

  • Use the skincare routine recommended by your practitioner

  • Use a minimum of SPF30 sunscreen everyday and reapply every 2 hours.

  • Do not swim in chlorinated water during your course of treatments.

  • No excessive exercise immediately after treatment

  • Avoid makeup for 24 hours, mineral is recommended

  • Take directed advice if undergoing laser or IPL treatment

  • Avoid the use of skincare products containing acids/alcohol

  • Do not use any products containing Vitamin A, Retin-A or similar Retinoids while undergoing a course of treatments

  • Do not use any other skin peels for at least 3 weeks after the treatment
